Description: An understanding of the no-nonsense mindset of the targeted engineering audience drove the creative on this lead-generating mailing. A plain #10 envelope, short letter, and to-the-point brochure garnered a double-digit response from this difficult-to-motivate audience. The results of a split test between a plain envelope and one with teaser copy confirmed this group's general dislike of advertising. The plain envelope far outpulled the teaser envelope.
